Samsung finally showed its first folding phone, but only a few seconds. At the end of the Samsung Developer Conference project, the company talked about innovation on the screen and demonstrated the first foldable phone that will be sold in 2019. The manager twisted the phone twice and returned it to his pocket. This will, apparently, cost a considerable amount of penny when the device starts next year.
There's nothing official from Samsung about who will cost a phone that can be folded, or even its name. The rumor mill has long been suggesting that the switching phone will be "Galaki F" when it comes out. According to a report by the Korean news agency Ionhap, it is a really current working name for the phone, and Samsung launches an astronomical price of $ 1,770 when the phone is launched in March.
The device that was demoed last week is actually a dual-screen folder. When it's closed, the device has a 4.6-inch screen as a traditional (if small) phone. There are large frames above and below the display to make room for batteries and electronics that power the main event: a 7.2-inch screen that takes place when the device is open.
In the past, we saw portable phones, but they were never consumer products, and the hardware was covert or completely broken. It's hard to say whether the phone with the folding Samsung phone will break the mold because we do not know what it looks like. Of course, we know the basics, but Samsung had a lock in the device to dim the details.
The price of the speech is objectively a lot of money, but not entirely on the left. Companies have been producing ultra-premium smartphones for several years. It is not uncommon for the main consumer device to run $ 1,000. In the US, most people buy phones from their bearers in the payment plan. The phone can cost a lot, but you only pay about $ 40 a month until it's worth it. A few phones even went over $ 1,000 – you spent $ 1,250 for the best version of the Galaxy Note 9, for example.
At $ 1,770, Galaki F would be one of the most expensive smartphones in the world, and probably the most expensive for the majority consumers. If you have purchased Galaki F in a typical payment plan, it will add $ 73 to your monthly account for 24 months. Will people pay so much for a switching phone? Maybe we could just say they have the first foldable phone.
