Armed group attacked night on Saturday, November 10th the farm La Milagrosa, u south of the state of Monagas. At the place where they held workers for more than 10 hours and dismembered in total 18 cattle.

This was announced on Monday, November 12, by a representative Association of Integrated Manufacturers of the State of Monagas (Asaprimo), Camalis Mundarain, who has shown the rejection of this vandal action that affects the supply of meat in the entity.

According to the workers' account, the men arrived at 2:00 pm and ripped them off. They tied them up and locked them, then dedicated themselves to slaughtering cattle. A task that lasted more than seven hours and worked in one of the corals.

There were a total of 18 ants and pregnant cows that attacked the attackers. Mundarain calculated that they were done 4 thousand 500 kilograms of meat, who finally could not get it because the truck waiting for the transport of the product did not arrive on time.

"It's exaggeration, cruelty. It's an underground world, it's the first time I've seen it as a person in the agricultural sector. Create a precedent very strong We heard that in the border areas, but never in Monagas, "said a representative of the ranchers in the entity.

For the cattle sacrifice Police Monagas states that two people were arrested. Although producers expect more fear, because not only two subjects could break that number of animals.

"We are waiting for the captured members of the rest of the band, because two are not the number that is expected to kill this cattle," said Asoprima spokeswoman.

According to the police agency of the security agency, the arrest took place in El Merei sector of Amana, south of Maturin, where they captured Carlos Eduardo Flores, 24, and Jose Jesus Rabela Flores, 26 years old.

Both were ordered Prosecutor Thirteen Public Ministry, charged with the crime of livestock.

The meat supply dialogue

Mundarain also informed that Monaco producers agreed with the regional authorities to sell meat at a regulated price, in order to guarantee that the product reaches homes in Monaco.

They are waiting for a new meeting, as they have generally provided facilities for purchasing inputs for agricultural machinery on farms, but they hope to reach new agreements.

In Monagas, Asoprimo calculates that 15,000 tons of meat is consumed annually, slightly more than a thousand tons a month.

Unlike regions such as Apure, Barinas and Guarico, where governors of the ruling coalition producers have sold part of their livestock to current leaders, in this eastern region they could have avoided this to date.

This Sunday, November 11th, Vice President National Federation of Cattle Breeders in Venezuela (Fedenaga), Luis Prado, has expressed the rejection of threats by President Nicolas Madura's President to take over the production and distribution of meat in the country.

"This will not have a good goal, as has happened before. What the government is doing is to take over our real estate," Prado said in the presidential announcement.
