The General Secretary of the Youth of the Socialist Party of Venezuela (JPSUV) Rodbeka Poleo reported on the setting up of the Congress of the Venezuelan Federation of Media Education (FVEM), next to the Congress of the Venezuelan Federal University of Education (FVEU) in the context of marking the student day this week.
At a press conference at the JPSUV House, Poleo emphasized that both congresses would be a model of participatory democracy and student protagonists.
Both congresses will be installed this week and will last until Tuesday, November 20th. The student movement will develop a debate with which they hope to make proposals to propose improvements in student policy in the country, he said.
Rodbeek Poleo has informed that 440 delegates will participate in the FVEM Congress "one for each country, three for each country, one for each parish of the state of Vargas and the main district, so far 80 thousand elected delegates have been elected by more than 2 million 260 thousand students in more than 4,400 high schools and technical schools, "he explained.
The JPSUV has announced that it will monitor the decisions, criticisms and proposals that emerge from the student movement, "discuss, build and contribute to the new student policy in Venezuela," he added.
Poleo said that "the spokesperson for both federations is the protagonists of the free democratic process, where our young people will choose their spokespersons who are presented as student leaders, from each department, secondary school, municipality and country in the country".
