Sao Paulo –

Britain's Luis Hamilton, crowned two weeks ago in Mexico, won Sunday's Brazilian Grand Prix in Sao Paulo and allowed Mercedes to win the Formula One's constructors' championship.

The team, led by Austrian Toto Volff, won the Interlagos Circuit in 5th placeº the title, then the builders.

It was the 72nd victory for Hamilton, who is ahead of Holland Mak Verstappen (Red Bull) and Finnish driver Kim Rikiken (Ferrari).

Since the introduction of the V6 hybrid engine in 2014 Mercedes has won all the titles of drivers and designers. He won 73 of 99 races. "The guys have been doing well over the past six years. It was a great time with them," said Hamilton.

The main milestone reached the circle in the 43rd year when Verstappen, who was comfortably leading, hit French Esteban Ocon (behind point point India) on an unexpected maneuver in the second corner.

Hamilton used the incident to advance to the Netherlands. "Bloody idiot," Verstappen said on his radio, citing the Frenchman.

When he left his car, Verstappen, who defeated Mexico, nearly hit Ocon. The Dutchman received public support, which boosted Hamilton's victory.

"We should have beaten today," Verstappen complained.

Red Bull has had the best car this weekend in Brazil, thanks to less tire degradation, which allowed him to follow compensation strategies.
