Xiaomi continues to bring a system of parallel updates on Android. Sometimes we have seen how users in Spain (although it happens around the world) get otes that changes the version of Android, and other times what comes is an update of the interface, MIUI.
The latter is what is currently happening in China with the Xiaomi My 10 and My 10 Pro, Which are being updated to the latest version of the Xiaomi layer, the one that has the Xiaomi Mi 11.
Remember that this is not the arrival of Android 11, which happened months ago, almost at the same time as it came to Google Pixel.
MIUI 12.5 comes to the Xiaomi Mi 10 and Mi 10 Pro
The OTA comes with firmware version V18.104.22.168.RJBCNXM for my 10 and V22.214.171.124.RJACNXM for my 10 Pro. It takes up about 4 GB (a lot to be an update) and as we knew, is based on Android 11.
In addition, the Android security patches have been updated to the penultimate version available, that of March 2021.
This update is within the stable beta program, which is what the company launches just before opening the update to all users, which should happen in the coming days. When this happens in China we can start waiting for MIUI 12.5 to reach my 10 and My 10 Pro from other regions.
We analyzed Android 11 and MIUI 12.5 on the Xiaomi Mi 11 a few weeks ago, and in this video we show you the main news that users of Mi 10 and Mi 10 Pro will find when this version arrives on their phones.
The only question is whether we will have Discover on the desktops since although Android 11 phones have it as standard those that are updated, sometimes do not have it.
