Two journalists were kidnapped and stolen on Thursday night by civil groups in the January 23 sector, located in the Libertador municipality (Caracas).
The National Union of Press Workers (SNTP) denounced what had happened and explained that the communicators, identified as Emin Ozmín, of Turkish nationality, and Hirsaid Gómez, Venezuelan, were stripped of their documents, money, a motorcycle and their cameras.
The alleged offenders gave journalists officials of the Bolivarian National Intelligence Service (Sebin), who transferred them to the Helicoid's headquarters for two hours.
Press workers were released at dawn and the Sebin officers returned their equipment, the SNTP reported.
