Long An becomes the gateway to welcoming wind power equipment to the West

With the handshake with Dang Gia, Long An International Port becomes the site of reception of important wind energy equipment and materials for the West.

Dang Gia Corp., contractor for transportation and installation of large energy projects such as B&T Quang Binh, Cau Dat, Kosy … has just maintained a strategic cooperation with Long An International Port. According to Dang Gia, this choice is due to the large area of ​​the harbor courtyard suitable for erection. He also has experience in handling large and super important items that require a complicated process of cargo handling; Convenient river transport to major wind farms in the south of Bac Lieu.

Vo Quoc Thang, chairman of the group Dong Tam, investor in the project, said it promotes the completion of legal procedures to expand the scale, so that terminals 8 and 9 have a design capacity for construction. up to 100,000 DWT. Currently, the port has an area of ​​147 hectares, including 7 docks to receive ships from 30,000 to 70,000 DWT.

The target for wind capacity in Vietnam is 6,030 MW in 2025 and 10,090 MW in 2030. The country currently has 9 wind farms in operation, with a total capacity of 304.6 MW, of which the largest is the wind farm. Bac Lieu wind farm with almost 100 MW.

Occident is one of the wind energy development centers with projects such as Hoa Binh (Bac Lieu); Hiep Thanh, Dong Thanh, Dong Hai (Tra Vinh), Soc Trang 1A-1B, Lac Hoa, Hoa Dong 2 (Soc Trang), Hai Phong, Thanh Phu, Binh Dai (Ben Tre), Tan Phu Dong (Tien Giang) , Ca Mau 1A-1B-1C-1D, Vien An (Ca Mau), Long My (Hau Giang) and Kosy. In which the project of the Kosy Bac Lieu wind farm, with a total capacity of more than 200 MW, covers an area of ​​about 6,600 hectares.
