Kenya: Bandari Line Up More Friendlies, Country SportPesa Cup Invite

Executive Director of Bandari Edward Oduor confirmed that the finals of the SportPes Premier League achieved friendly matches as part of preparations for the 2018/2019 season.

Oduor said he will play against an unidentified team from the Queens County at the Serani Sports Club on Friday, starting at 2:00 pm, before hosting the Ulinzi Stars on November 24th in the same place.

"After these two matches, we will follow the program that will be provided by our head coach Bernard Mwalal," he said.

Dockers returned to Mombasa on Monday after a four-day tour in Zanzibar where they played two friendly games to warm up against the top teams of the island.

In his first match, Bandari won the Zanzibar Premier League championship, Jeshi la Kujenga Uchumi (JKU) 3-0, but in the second match held Malindi 3-3. Both matches were played at the Amman Stadium.

The team is training from Tuesday after returning.

"We will continue with training and play a series of friendly matches before opening our Kenya Premier League (KPL) campaign against Gor Mahya on December 8," Oduor said.

In the meantime, Bandari is among the fourth Kenyan teams to participate in the SportPes Cup to be held in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania, from January 22 to 29 next year.

Oduor confirmed the receipt of the call of the sportsbook of the company SportPes and welcomed the opportunity to grace the international tour.

Dockers, who finished second in the SportPesa Premier League last season, will for the first time take part in the tournament.

Other Kenyan teams to play are the defending champions Gor Mahi, AFC Leopards and Kariobangi Sharks.

Tanzania has sites Simba, sponsors sponsored by SportPes, Ianga, Singida United and new Mbao players from Mwanse.

Gore defeated his nemesis AFC Leopards 3-0 to win an inaugural tournament in June 2017 before releasing his second edition in Tokyo in June this year.

"This is yet another opportunity to establish our superiority in the region, by then we are ready to defend the cup," said captain Gor Harun Sakava.

The winner, who gets a chance to play English Premier League Everton, sacks 3 million, while in the pockets of Š1 million, Š750,000 and Sh500,000 for the third and fourth placed teams.

K & # 39; Ogalo has played Everton twice; which lost 2-1 in the first meeting in July last year in Dar es Salaam, after which last year's result was 4-0 at Goodison Park.
