Say hello to the Samsung Galaxy A52 5G, the latest arrival at headquarters.
It has several differences with the Samsung Galaxy A52 for 4G only, which we reviewed in March, although the colors match.
The most important differences are that the 5G model achieves a 120Hz faster refresh rate on its 6.5-inch Super AMOLED and has a Snapdragon 750G ready for 5G instead of the Snapdragon 720G of the 4G model.
For the starting price of € 450, the unpacking is disappointing. Get a SIM tool, a USB cable and a 15W charger. This is a slow charger and there is no case, but this is also the norm with Samsung’s A series.
Thanks to a competent Snapdragon, a high refresh rate and Samsung’s mature OneUI, the Galaxy A52 5G is a performer.
The phone also feels lighter than its 189g would suggest, and we love the matte finish of the back panel. The bright side frame drops it a bit, but we can forgive it with this color.
We’ll review the performance of the 4,500 mAh battery and triple rear cameras (the fourth is a depth sensor, which doesn’t count in our books). But given the 105-hour rating achieved by the Galaxy A52 4G and the solid impression the cameras gave us in this review, we expect the Galaxy A52 5G to perform so well.
Stay tuned for our full review.
