Zimbra revenue authorities have sent their officials at the country's border crossings to strictly apply a $ 200 discount on imported goods for personal use.
In a statement released yesterday, a national tax collector said that if the quantities imported by the traveler exceed the prescribed maximum quantities, then certain items will be considered commercial, and therefore can not be considered a discount.
"An example is if a passenger introduces seven shirts against approved four shirts, the whole shipment is considered commercial, so full duty is to be charged on seven shirts without allowing the four to be withdrawn.
"The return of passengers is granted on goods up to a value of $ 200 or equivalent that is imported for personal use and the goods are correctly declared," said Zimra.
Zimra added that there was still a violation for any importer to import goods within certain restrained borders when goods were for commercial use.
The amount of discount reveals that a person will be allowed to import only four pieces of shoes, jackets, skirts, jeans pants, shirts, shirts and shorts.
Food is not excluded on the list as there are kuantities that need to be met for different products. Daily news
